Who we are

WHO WE ARE

Come and meet the team

We are a small team of passionate bakers who work to make great bread and pastries using local and sustainable produce for our local community.

The bakery was started by Liz, whose passion for making bread began whilst baking for herself and her own family. After friends started asking her to bake their bread it seemed like a good idea to open things up and to offer bread delivery around Romsey. Pretty soon the orders grew to a point the bakery needed more space and more help.

When we were looking for a new location we knew that it was really important for our customers to be able to see what we are doing. Reconnecting people with where their food comes from is one of our main aims and so for us it was really vital that it was a space we could both bake and sell from. We took on premises at Basepoint in Romsey in December 2019 and spent Christmas and the following January turning what was an industrial shell into our lovely bakery. We opened at our current location at Basepoint in Romsey in January 2020 (a mere nine weeks before lockdown!).

This new location has meant that we have been able to meet face to face with our customers in a way we couldn't before. But we soon outgrew that space and wanted to find a location closer into the centre of Romsey to allow us to opinion more days and be more accessible on foot to more people.

In October 2022 we moved out Bakery to its current location in Latimer Walk, a pedestrianised street close to Waitrose in Romsey where we are also able to offer coffee and stock a wide range of other local produce including compassionately produced milk, local, organic fruits and vegetables, smoked trout pate, local cheese (both dairy and vegan!), local charcuterie, locally roasted coffee and plenty more besides!
